The comments from anti-gay, Bush styled-judgemental "religiousity" bigots are so annoying. I hope these people never know the sting of prejudice anddescrimination, but will learn some REAL religion which teaches tolerance and love and understanding. C J Cox understands the real meaning of these issues, and shows a firm graspof the concept of humanity, and love. This is a finely crafted, humorous, and exciting take on what it means to be gay and to learn the meaning of love; in it's most broadest meaning, is an extremely moving, emotional journey. This filmhas lots to say; "and it's beautiful, and it's good."
'Sentiment: Positive 🙂'
This film is about the unlikely relationship between a promiscuous and handsome man, and a young Mormon missionary.Latter Days is beautiful in many ways. The plot is the most beautiful of all. From the initial encounter, brewing attraction to real love for each other, everything is nicely told. The ups and downs of their relationship evoke emotions and stirs up feelings. Aaron's family rejection, and his subsequent therapy is deeply touching. A striking scene is when Aaron tells his mother that "It's not what I do, it's who I am", the message is profoundly affecting. It is a desperate shout to people who do not understand homosexuality.Though the ending is a miracle, the film still leaves me sad and heavy hearted. Latter Days is a profoundly touching tale, and it deserves more recognition than it is getting.
